Chest Buster

In Chest Buster you never hit an enemy directly. You fight by smashing the treasure chests in front of you, and whatever falls out of a broken chest goes straight into the battle as a power boost. There's no inventory to sort through. Higher-level chests drop stronger items. Coins from each fight go into a skill tree that unlocks new weapons for breaking chests. Upgrades raise attack speed and power, and they also add more chests to smash, which means more loot. Everything in the tree stays with you when you lose, so each attempt starts a bit stronger. Card flips and slot machines add a gamble on top, but the skill tree lets you shift the odds in your favor. You can also research trait runes and attach them to chests to build your own style. Finishing a mission removes that enemy for good and gives you a permanent reward. The long-term goal is breaking every seal on the Abyss Chest to free a being who can save the world. It's from D-Pad and came out on Steam in July 2026. It suits idle fans who like loot showers and permanent upgrades.
