INCREMENTAL tracks the games where progress keeps ticking after you close the tab, and the creators who turn that progress into stories worth watching.
The genre deserved a real home.
Incremental games are everywhere: buried in Steam tags, scattered across itch.io, hidden in browser bookmarks from 2014. I kept losing track of the good ones, and the directories that did exist felt like phone-book listings: alphabetical, joyless, and indifferent to what makes the genre tick.
So I made the directory I wanted to use. One that treats prestige loops, big-number math, and offline progression as features worth highlighting, not footnotes.
One person, one very long list.
It is me. I am a player first, someone who has spent more hours watching numbers go up than I would like to put in writing, and I run every part of this site on my own: picking the games, writing the descriptions, sorting the tags, chasing down the creators worth following.
It started as somewhere to keep my own bookmarks. It now reaches thousands of visits a month from people looking for their next idle game, which still catches me off guard, and is the reason I keep pouring evenings into it.
Because it is one person, the queue moves at human speed and I would rather hear from you than not. Found something missing or wrong? The submit page is the fastest route in, and everything sent there lands in the same queue I work through myself.
This is a passion project. There is no team behind the curtain and no inbox that goes nowhere. I read everything, and I am always up for talking to people who like this genre as much as I do.
