The Perfect Tower II

The Perfect Tower II combines tower defense with incremental upgrades and some idle mechanics. You defend a tower on a lonely island, and part of the game is finding out why you're building towers there at all. Resources go into a town that starts as an empty island and grows to 12 buildings, each with its own job. From the town you head out to 15 regions. Each region has its own look, enemy movement, special rules and secrets, plus unlocks for your town, and there are five modes called Normal, Endless, Challenge, Idle and Sandbox. Mini-games and puzzles with incremental mechanics sit alongside the defense, and bosses test how strong your tower really is. You can lean toward an idle build or an active one, depending on which upgrades you pick. One big system is an in-game AI you control with simple commands, which can automate almost everything. The game is free on Steam and has a web version, and the Steam page says a mobile version hasn't launched yet. The developers build it together with their Discord community and keep updating it. It suits players who like to tinker and automate.
